College Internship 2020
OTTE is seeking a non-paid intern to join it’s Buying team. The candidate should be reliable, organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about fashion. The intern will support the Buying team, while gaining comprehensive knowledge of entry-level buying and planning functions. This is a great opportunity for a candidate who wants to gain hands-on experience in the fashion industry, as he/she will experience the entire buying process during fashion week and market. 
  • Provide administrative support to the Buying team

  • Assist Buying team with all necessary market preparation, including developing seasonal sales reports, maintaining and organized system for all purchase orders and sales confirmations

  • Learn to track sales, analyze reports, make reorder recommendations to the Buying team

  • Maintain designer inquiry email and suggest new brands to the Buying team

  • Assist in researching competitor markdowns on a regular basis

  • Create seasonal trend boards that highlight buys for future seasons

  • Assist in sorting incoming and outgoing orders

Skills and Requirements:
  • Currently pursuing degree in relevant field / experience in the fashion industry preferred

  • Strong analytical skills and a basic understanding of retail math

  • Ability to work independently and juggle multiple projects in a fast paced environment

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Clear interest in career path and an eagerness to learnUpdate

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

  • Available to work a minimum of 3 days per week; 4 days preferred

Job Type: Non-Paid Internship, will work with your educational institution to get you school credit if desired
